2012 MINI John Cooper Works GP2
Fantastic, Rare JCW GP2 with very low miles
We are delighted to offer for sale this fantastic Mini Cooper JCW GP2.
At just 936 miles (serviced at 607 miles), surely one of the lowest mileage GP2 available and a fantastic addition to any collection or enthusiasts garage.
A strut-brace replaces the rear seats of the Mini JCW GP. The effect of this dramatic change is to move the GP2 closer to the feel of a track car, but it doesn't end up compromising entirely on comfort. With Recaro seats, electric windows, automatic climate control with A/C and heated seats it offers the best of both worlds.
On the outside, this Mini Cooper JCW GP is instantly recognisable, sharing as it does, the same specification with all 2000 cars manufactured. Metallic Thunder Grey with silver roof featuring decals, complemented by distinctive red wing mirrors and a bonnet vent insert with GP decals set the scene. Add to this, a carbon fibre rear spoiler, the matte front lower splitter, rear diffuser and wheel arch surrounds, and you have the unmistakable and purposeful look of the GP2.

What makes the Mini GP2 so special?
The Mini John Cooper Works GP2 is a fast and focused performance edition with a limited run of 2000 units.
It has a 218bhp turbocharged 1.6 L direct-injected four-cylinder engine, giving it a 0–60 mph time of 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 150 mph, but that's not even half the story...
"For the first few miles, it's manic, furious; sometimes unruly character seems too much for most roads. It's a stiff, hyper-agile car and with plenty of torque-steer and even more lift-off oversteer, the GP is something of a shock when you first experience it. However, with time you start to revel in the sheer enthusiasm and focus of the car and admire Mini for allowing something so uncompromising to make it to the showroom. It keeps you on your toes but is all the more rewarding for it when you're making faster progress. Turn-in is cleaner and more precise than the standard John Cooper Works, and the GP's a more predictable car as you approach its grip limits, and an entertainingly (and sometimes shockingly) wild one as you find and then breach them. The ESP can be pared back to a more lenient 'GP' mode, which solely brakes the front wheels to avoid understeer rather than frustratingly cutting power. At the same time, with its stability and traction controls disabled, it's a wild and quite unforgettable ride.” Source: EVO Dec 2013.
