From my early childhood, I have been immersed in the motor retail industry due to my father’s influence. I had lots of opportunities to visit countless garages on weekends and learn first hand what was required to give exceptional customer service. This experience also allowed me to view some outstanding cars, and if that was not enough, the driveway at home always had something equally as exciting. I have fond memories of Mercedes 300 SL Gullwings, Ferrari F40’s, Jaguar XJ220’s and my personal favourite, the Aston Martin V600 Le Mans.
I followed in my father’s footsteps without hesitation into the automotive sales industry working for leading brands such as BMW/MINI and Mercedes.
Most recently I worked as Sales Manager for a world renowned specialist car dealership, looking after their Aston Martin, Classic Car and Morgan Motor Car franchise sales departments. During that period, I was fortunate to sell cars such as the iconic Aston Martin DB models and an exceptional Ferrari 246 GT Dino with Ferrari Classiche Certification.

For as long as I can recall, I have been fascinated by anything with an engine and wheels, in fact, sometimes just an engine OR wheels would do.
I was born into a car-mad family; my father was (and still very much is) in Motor Retail, and my brother had a pile of car magazines as tall as a house.

I started my career in Motor Retail at 19 and have worked in sales for Mercedes, Mazda, Vauxhall, Chevrolet, Fiat and Hyundai, most recently, managing a sales team at a prestige and performance centre.
This last position linked my experience in motor sales with my passion for fast, luxurious cars. I take a great deal of pride in my work, sourcing the best cars with impeccable history, stunning specification and where possible, in ‘like new’ condition.

Gary recognises the importance of storytelling, after all, every great car has a great story, particularly anything classic and Gary loves to show the colourful characteristics and fascinating details of everything we have in stock.
Gary’s ideas often take us to scenic parts of the country, being a keen hillwalker with 8 years in the Royal Marines under his belt, his filmmaking ideas can often be slightly extreme causing us to reign him in, its safe to say he wouldn’t have a problem showcasing a landrover in a snowstorm.

Chelsea started her career in childcare and later moved to the motor trade in various reception and administrative roles. Her earlier experience in Childcare comes in handy for taking on a motherly role looking after all the Pilote Team. She takes care of everything paperwork wise and will be often the first voice you’ll hear when you call us.
Chelsea has had a fair share of cars and isn’t afraid of some speed, her favourite car we’ve had to drive was the Porsche 911 C2s.
Although neither of my parents were drivers, from the date I first passed my driving test, I have been obsessed with cars and the freedom, independence and endless possibilities motoring provides.

My wedding day and the birth of my children aside(!), some of my favourite memories as an adult have had a motoring theme including, riding across the Arizona desert on a motorcycle, seeing Lewis Hamilton win his first Silverstone Grand Prix, meeting Sir Stirling Moss, Nico Rosberg and Jeremy Clarkson, trips to the Nürburgring and some particularly memorable driving holidays in France.
In my free time, I enjoy working on my own small collection of classic and performance cars, and generally restoring cars/bikes to their former glory.
Having recently retired from a career as a commercial insurance broker, I was delighted when Jonny and Gary invited me to turn my hobby into a career by becoming part of the Pilote team. My days are now spent in the showroom dealing with customer enquiries, in the detailing studio helping Graham prepare cars for sale, on location for photoshoots, on-line sourcing rare and discontinued parts, finding specialists to undertake repairs, as well as travelling the length and breadth of the UK to view, collect and deliver some fantastic Pilote cars.
