We are delighted to offer for sale this elegant 1936 Rolls Royce 20/25 Sedanca De Ville by Barker Coachworks. This imposing Rolls is presented in a lovely two - tone black and cream exterior with a complimentary cream leather rear interior trim. This stunning example was supplied new by Clyde Automobile Co. Limited to a Mr Arthur Ballantine of Dumbartonshire on the 20th December 1936 (copies of original correspondence and order form are in the history file). We can only imagine what it must of been like to take delivery of your very own Rolls Royce, a period where motor cars were the signature of wealth.

This Sedanca De Ville benefitted from some additional features, one in particular is the noise insulation which has been well tested by ourselves and the rear occupants have almost total privacy in conversation whilst stationary or on the move. Two features that stand out are the folding seats in the bulkhead behind the drivers cabin and the way the tailgate drops to hold the bespoke luggage that’s still in place today.

This 3 owner Rolls has been lovingly maintained by all its custodians and has a detailed history file with many bills and receipts for work carried out. In the file we also have the original Handbooks and a period brochure for the Rolls Royce 20 - 25 H.P motor cars.

One thing that stands out to us is how refined and quiet the Rolls still is after nearly 100 years since it was first registered.

This would make the perfect wedding or chauffeur car but would also sit nice in a collection for that Sunday drive out with the family for a lovely day trip.
